Dr. Erik Kumetz is a board-certified dermatologist and U.S. Navy Medical Corps officer. He completed his dermatology residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he trained in medical, surgical, and procedural dermatology.
A veteran of combat deployments in the Middle East and recipient of the Richard E. Luehrs Operational Flight Surgeon of the Year award, Dr. Kumetz has provided care to service members in both clinical and operational environments. His clinical interests include acne treatment, skin cancer screening and prevention, inflammatory skin diseases, and dermatologic procedures.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Kumetz is involved in resident education and public health research. He is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, with a focus on healthcare innovation, preventive medicine, and expanding access to dermatologic care through teledermatology.
