About Melissa Gilbert, PA-C

Melissa Gilbert, PA-C has been a dedicated Physician Associate in Dermatology since 2009. Born and raised in Southern California, she completed her undergraduate studies at Wellesley College in Boston, MA, before earning her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA.

The first decade of Melissa’s career was spent practicing alongside her father, a dermatologist, in Newport Beach, CA, in a clinic that felt like an extension of their family. Many of the patients she cared for as an adult had first met her as a young girl—filing charts or greeting them at check-in—creating lifelong relationships rooted in trust and familiarity.

Melissa is passionate about patient education, firmly believing that informed patients are empowered to take an active role in their care. She has extensive experience in both medical and cosmetic dermatology, and she is committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate care with every visit.

Outside the office, Melissa enjoys playing tennis, salsa dancing, and exploring off-the-beaten-path travel destinations. Above all, she cherishes spending quality time with her family and close friends.
